Unlike many other sheep farms in Ontario, our ewes spend most of their lives outside.
In the spring, summer and fall they graze on pasture, in the trees, and along rocky outcrops of The Canadian Shield. Raising our sheep on pasture means ewes are free to move as a flock, chewing on grass, clovers, shrubs, and young trees (they love willow trees!), accompanied by at least one of our three livestock guardian dogs. In the winter, our ewes are kept safe and sheltered in our multi-paddock barnyard, where they’re fed free-choice hay, corn silage, and mineral, and bedded deep with
straw to stay warm in their wooly coats.

The Pepper Moustache
Flavour first, then heat. Hot for hot sake never did it for us. We wanted more out of a hot sauce. So in 2005 when I started making hot sauces for friends and family it was flavour foreplay first! It all starts with fresh picked ingredients from our gardens. All of our Hot Sauces, Spicy Maple Syrups, Rubs and Spicy Salt are passionately crafted in small batches. Each with a distinct flavour profile created to enhance everyday meals – not mask them. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Daydreams by Dani
About the Artist
Dani is a trained stage performer who tries to bring the beauty of theatre into her visual art designs. Although Dani did study design at Algonquin College, she is mainly a naïve (self-taught) artist, choosing to use the time tested method of trial and error to further the creative process. She has worked in many media including polymer clay, graphite, watercolour and acrylics, but found her true passion in pyrography.
“There is something especially connective and almost spiritual in the process of using modern tools in the creation of an ancient craft”, she says.
All of Dani’s work is done by hand so each piece is one-of-a-kind. Working in natural materials like leather, wood and cork, she will often examine the grain and/or markings that exist naturally, then build the design from there, sometimes using colour stain to further enhance its motif.
“The material already has an image in it. I just help to bring it out”.
aydreams by Dani :
Pyrography is the ancient art of burning designs into materials Dani uses modern heat styluses to create her works in wood, leather, cork and more. Her offerings include home decor, jewellery, music accessories and decorative art.
