This Saturday is world honeybee day, so we are featuring Masa Farms and Nat’s Bread. Our HONEY and BREAD vendors.
We want you to get to know are vendors so each week we will be spotlighting 2 vendors.

MASA Farms- Is a small family business located in Barrhaven. The owners Marisa and Tony Lepore are proud to produce, with the help of their bees, 100% pure natural wildflower honey. Beekeeping has been a tradition in the Lepore family over 5 generations. From time to time they also have fresh produce from their home garden.

Nat’s Bread is a bakery specializing in artisanal, all natural, old world bread.
Their baking space is located at 857 Boyd Ave. Natali Harea started Nat’s Bread Company after many years of working in restaurant kitchens and experimenting with their bread. This week we are featuring Frank’s Baked Goods and Catering and Nancy Sinclair Glass.

Frank’s Baked Goods and Catering – Offering Pies, Cookies, Tarts, and prepared meals at the market. Owner Frank Spartico started out washing dishes in a kitchen when he was 14 years old. He has been in the food industry for more than 20 years. He has always had a hunger for food knowledge and over the years has owned a gourmet sub shop, a deli, a bakery, and a restaurant. Frank’s love of cooking and passion for food inspired him to start Frank’s Catering & Baked Goods. He established the company in 1998. Frank takes pride in creating most of his food from scratch and uses the freshest ingredients possible. He enjoys being creative so his menu is always expanding. This small and family owned business caters to anyone who loves and respects good food.-

Nancy Sinclair Glass -Nancy fell in love with lampworking five years ago. Her glass work draws its inspiration from colour play, porcelain china, and wallpaper and ceramic designs. She often blends her own colours, creating muted tones which give a soft and subtle effect. She loves making glass beads that are delicately detailed and using them to create modern and elegant jewellery.
Her work has been featured in fashion shoots as well as international glass artist publications. She has had the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the most prolific and talented glass artists in the world.She works out of her home studio in Ottawa, in the company of her two daughters and numerous fur babies.

August 4th Featured Vendors

Looks like its going to be another warm beautiful long weekend in the Ottawa Valley.  Why not stop by The Log Farm (670 Cedarview Rd.) and check out the farmers market Saturday 9am-2pm. this week we are featuring Ashton Beef and Harwood Estates Winery.  In total we will have 20 +/- Vendors this weekend plus live music from Spencer Scharf.

Ashton Beef- On our 7th generation family farm just outside the village of Ashton, we are pleased to offer local beef raised with care and compassion. July 28th Featured Vendors

This week we are featuring Foster Family Farms & Sheppard’s Spring Farm, both from North Gower, Ontario.  We want you to get to know are vendors so each week we will be spotlighting 2 vendors.

Foster Family Farms– Fresh Ontario Vegetables From Our Family to Yours… Foster Family Farm produces high quality vegetables for local consumption in both the retail and wholesale markets. Our company grows and sells a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from June to October. Each week at the market brings a new selection so stop by often and see what’s new!

Sheppard’s Spring Farm–  We live on a small farm near North Gower with our Extended family.  The Family has been here since the 1970’s and we are on the 4th generation now.  We bake bread, old fashioned mini cakes, cookies, sweet tarts and savoury meat pies. We raise lamb, chicken and turkey.  At the market we will also have turkey sausages. Just look for our bright green tent!

July 21 Featured Vendors

This week we are featuring Havens Harvest and The Great British Pasty & Pie Co.
We want you to get to know our vendors better, so each week we will be spotlighting two vendors.

🌱 Haven Harvest believes having access to fresh local produce shouldn’t be a complicated matter. Grown in Barrhaven from our indoor nursery, our microgreens are harvested fresh so they taste great while providing excellent nutritional value to your daily meals. Toss them into salads or garnish some on your favourite sandwich, microgreens are the simplest way towards a healthier diet! We also create traditional kimchi in-house: full of flavour and filled with natural-occurring probiotics from the fermentation process. Add them to burgers and sausages for your summer BBQs, enhance your fried rice and stirfry dishes, or eat them on its own! We also have different baby salad greens and other small-sized veggies throughout the market season, all grown right in your neighbourhood! Come by to the farmers market and learn about the different variety of microgreens and kimchi, sample them and bring some of your favourites home!

The Great British Pasty & Pie Co. is a small company focused on producing handcrafted traditional British pasties using fresh local ingredients. Our pasties are handcrafted in small batches with fresh local ingredients and fine fresh herbs and seasonings and without any artificial flavours or preservatives. By small batches, we mean that we bake 24 pasties at a time. Using small batch recipes and techniques every pasty is cared for from start to customer. Our Pasties are sold frozen for customer convenience allowing customers to enjoy good value wholesome meals with minimal preparation. Ask about our daily specials when you see us at the market.

July 14th Market

This is going to be another great weekend at the farmers market. Around 20 vendors  will be joining us this week.  As the year moves along there is always something new every week. This week we’re happy to announce that we will have Homespun Ice Cream joining us for the first time. As always lots of free parking and always free to shop.

July 7th

We’ve finally got out of this heat wave and just in time for this Saturdays market. The weather looks beautiful so why not stop by and check us out.  A wide variety of vendors this weekend to browse and pick up some local goodies. As always the market runs from 9am-2pm with lots of free parking and no admission to attend.  Please remember that due to the nature of facility (Farm) we only allow service animals on site.

June 30th

Our weekly farmers market runs as usual from 9AM-2PM.  This week in celebration of Canada Day we will be having a strawberry social.  We will be giving out free strawberry shortcake starting at 10AM (while quantities last). One of our vendors, Another Chapter Publishing, will be handing out “I Am Canadian” bookmarks. On top of this, for the Canada Day theme Sheppard’s Spring Farm will have strawberry tarts and Nat’s bread will be doing a maple bacon sourdough bread.
